I’m sitting here, a very hot mess, since I have only completed part one of my blue hair metamorphosis. Light roots, curls for days, and I’m listening to Orbital, Joe Strummer, Henry Mancini, Dr. Octagon and many more. Part two of the hair will be completed tomorrow and just in time for SEAF (warning: NSFW). It’s pronounced seef as in rhymes with reef, not Sea-Aff, as I was pulling a Nomi Malone Ver-sayce.
I got to take a day off from Seattle the night before last and venture into the sleepy little towns of Port Townsend and Port Hadlock, which are a ferry ride away. Beautiful and picturesque, and here are two pictures, but you might have already seen them if you have been following my Twits.

I am the official baby wrangler for The Aerialistas and LizaRose and “Baby O” and I had a lot of fun tooling around town. Leave it to me to find the two thrift stores in town, but yes, I scored one awesome vintage Pan Am carry-on bag, which is in terrific shape. Methinks that I will keep it. Speaking of scores, T. and I went to one of my regular haunts this afternoon and scored some great finds. I really should be more thorough about documenting my thrifting goodness. Revive the Shop My Closet category.
So the date is approaching, the one that has us going on our trip to Los Angeles. Our hometown. I’ve not made the most exhaustive list of everything that I wish to do, but I’m sure that much of it is food related. Try as I might, I cannot resist the call of the food, which means that my chances of ever tight lacing again at 19″ are slim, but we’ll see. Sometimes I also forget about this age thing, which can definitely change your metabolism and your bones.
I like myself a lot more than usual lately, but wait until I get back to L.A., land of distorted body image. Ah, I don’t have to let all of that bother me anymore. Of course, one wants to look as good as they can for as long as they can, but not at expense to my sanity and daily well-being.
My dearies, I have not forgotten about my fabulous mascara giveaway that I will be announcing at some point TOMORROW. How did it already get to be May 1st??
I owe some people some phone calls, and I haven’t forgotten. Between my speaker phone issue and feeling very tired lately, it’s time to get a move on with that.
